Opplysninger
This case study explains the research procedures of a study that measured teachers' digital competency using a questionnaire and used an automated visualization platform to suggest appropriate professional development training based on their level of competency. To achieve the goal, the process was started by developing standard indicators for digital competency that could be measured in the form of instruments. Subsequently, this case study shows how the framework and indicators can be linked to produce a pool of items that are used to measure the targeted variables. This case study also highlights the steps for the validation and pilot test of the questionnaire. Examples of psychometric terminologies are explained in this case study that can serve as a guideline for conducting a psychometric analysis of a questionnaire. This project provides a guide on how a measurement process can be linked to technology to produce an automated visualization platform for measuring teachers' digital competency. The technologies involved in the automated visualization are explained in terms of how it enables the collected data to be automatically transformed into a visualization for the purpose of decision making.
