| Opplysninger | ABSTRACT: This review article explores current research on aggression in institutionalized elders and proposes a theoretical framework for use by caregivers. The relationships of brain dysfunction, past behaviors, social networks and environmental triggers to the expression of aggression are discussed. The framework can be used to generate research hypothesis, or as a guide for assessing risk factors associated with these behaviors.
