As a social worker in a special day-care seteing, I have documented the dynamics of a group's evolution and function as a successful intervention for older adults with varied forms of dementia. The benefits of the group modality, enhancing the quality of client's lives, has become appearant.Led by a social worker, in a stuctured format, members of the group have shown their capacity for mutual support, strengthened self esteem and allowing the group process to help maintain residual skills.
