Get Over It» is an eclectic listening experience where style and genre are challenged. The music oscillates between humor and seriousness, joy and melancholy. The sound of noise, synth and chaos moves into more repetitive parts and the lyrics, which consist of selected notes and thoughts from the painting process, send the listening experience in multiple directions. Along the way, when I listened to this for the first time, I could get a feeling of thinking I had managed to place the music, link it to something familiar but then in the next moment realize that it was not the case.Urd J. Pedersen's practice of painting, sculpture and music can testify that she opens up and plays with her intuition. Whims, experiences and sporadic thoughts form the basis for the everyday, private and not spectacular themes she conveys. Conflicting elements are put together to create harmony as well as dissonance.The cassette and fanzine were made in connection with Urd's participation in the West Norway exhibition in 2020. In the exhibition she presented paintings with the same title as on the cassette release and in the accompanying fanzine we can see prints in the same format and composition as the presented paintings. The cassette has become an extension of the stories that are told in the presented paintings, where one can both recognize or see new excerpts and interpretations" - Utgiver
