Although Holmes holds the key to an innocent man's liberty, the story brims with humourous touches and sees Watson and his friend in fine festive form, joking and laughing their way through a wild goose chase, encountering comic characters and Dickensian crooks. ; The Hound of the Baskervilles (2002): The ancient legend of the Baskervilles has persisted in the family history for generations. It is Sir Charles's mysterious death in the grounds of Baskerville Hall that brings Holmes and Watson to the scene of one of their most famous and intriguing cases - the mystery of the legendary hellhound of Dartmoor.
