| Opplysninger | Fifteen persons who had Alzheimer's disease and experienced a fractured hip were described in relationship to age, sex, type of fracture, type of surgery, length of hospital stay, time between fracture and surgery, and physical therapy to outcomes. Sixty-four percent of the subjects did not receive physical therapy in the hospital while 86% did receive therapy in the nursing home. At 1 year seven persons were deceased. Six of the remaining subjects were ambulating with or without assistance.
