Haraway -- Interpreting information / Patricia Reed. - "Informatics of Domination is an experimental collection that examines formations of power that are shaped by white capitalist patriarchy and manifest through information systems, networks, and computers in the twenty-first century. Organized around Donna Haraway's informatics of domination chart, first published in the 1985 essay "A Cyborg Manifesto." Haraway's framework diagrams the ways control and power are wielded through information technologies. The contributors to this collection take up and build upon the entries in Haraway's chart in a variety of expressive forms-essays, fiction, poetry, conversations, and more-to examine what an informatics of domination looks like in our contemporary moment. With an epilogue by Haraway, and contributions from interdisciplinary scholars, writers, and artists, the book turns Haraway's chart into a table of contents, each chapter addressing topics ranging from biology and technology, to capitalism and abstract thinking. By refracting the chart through itself, the collection opens the idea of an informatics of domination to new perspectives, contemplating how the chart offers a particular structure for thought"--
