| This work, the second of two volumes, includes nine studies on various aspects of migration in Mexico. The focus is on internal migration, although two of the studies are concerned with migration to the U.S.-Mexican border. The approach taken is multidisciplinary. Specific topics treated include the urban network; indigenous migration; rural centers of in-migration; the Mixteca of Oaxaca, an area of out-migration; migration to the municipalities of the central metropolitan area; rural-urban migration; and migration to the northern frontier of Mexico.
