| Opplysninger | The Sámi are the only officially recognized indigenous people of the European Union. The current volume of studies analyzes the works of artists who find common ground for their linguistic and cultural vulnerability, as well as their political, geographic, and social divisions. The crisis situations and solution proposals presented by them show the face of Europe's Indians, the Sámi, in which the furrows of bitterness are imbued with self-irony, humor, postmodern doubt, but above all, taking a position, speaking out, and acting on time. The studies in this volume deal with topics that occupy a central place in the self-definition of the Sámi, such as reindeer husbandry, the Sámi language, yojkas, natural and political challenges, the social role of women, and the challenges of everyday life. The global outlook of the Sámi living in the crossfire of cultures in our time, his foresight was able to encourage, strengthen and reclassify the self-interpretation processes of their community. The political, social and artistic developments of the Sámi, which strongly support all of this, i.e. the Sámi artivism, set an example not only for the natural peoples of the world, but for all of us.
