Simax: PSC1380. - Ernst Simon Glaser, cello. - The Norwegian cellist, Ernst Simon Glaser, has had a number of works written for him and this recording is the culmination of his project Echos of what will come – conversations with J.S. Glaser has explored the potential to connect the music of Bach with present-day approaches and has commissioned new companion pieces to be played alongside each of the Bach cellosuites. Six different Norwegian composers have focused on one Bach suite each. His hope was to create a unique meeting point between the past and the present; a conversation across timelines.
