The book will also emphasise the importance of building self-confidence at this awkward stage, providing parents with insight into the kinds of conflicts their sons can experience in adolescence, which they themselves may have long forgotten. Many of the conclusions reached in this book are based on Purvis's experience with adolescent and adult men at his clinical practice based in Oslo.
