| "The papers collected in this volume were presented during a conference which took place from the 8th to 10th April 2013 in the Akademisches Kunstmuseum of Bonn University. The event was organized by the Graduiertenkolleg / Research Training Group Archaeology of Pre-Modern Economies which has been founded in 2013. It is a joint programme of the universities of Cologne and Bonn, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
