Forlaget skriver om denne boka:

In this book the author examines the French feminist Luce Irigaray's philosophy og sexual difference. Through a careful reading of the major philosophical inter-texts in Irigaray's book Amante marine de Friedrich Nietzsche (1980), Professor Mortensen deconstructs Irigaray's attempt to articulate le féminin. She argues that the question of nihilism, as found in the writings of Nietzsche and Heidegger, is directly relevant to Irigaray's understanding of le féminin, and she claims that the Heidegger-Nietzsche nexus constitutes the most overlooked part of recent feminist appropriations of Irigaray's work.
