Opplysninger | Har bibliografi. - The author of this book describes the origins of various drugs, as well as the development of their uses. Descriptions of the characteristics of each substance are given. He shows how these substances have become such an influential factor today. Whilst social, economic, historical and psychological factors in drug taking are explored, the book also examines the spritual dimensions of drug uses. The author's premise is that human beings are more or less consciously participators in the world of the spirit. This world is just as rich in phenomena and experience as everyday reality. Furthermore, Dunselman claims that by using drugs we can experience something of the spiritual worlds - however, this can be confusing and dangerous.
