| The book is ment to be bath tub reading. It does not profess to be the definitive text covering all aspects of the addictions field. Rather, this book is meant to be readable: made interesting by the use of concrete case file examples of patients with addictions problems whom I have treated in the course of my practice. Instead of concentrating on every issue in addictions, effort is made to include information on problems which are common in the primary care setting, and which are likely to be encountered frequently.
