Opplysninger | This triple bill of classic seasonal dramas can be watched either in original black and white or digitally remastered in colour. A. Edward Sutherland directs the Christmas fantasy drama 'Beyond Christmas' (1940). On Christmas Eve, three elderly businessmen (C. Aubrey Smith, Charles Winninger, Harry Carey) meet a young man (Richard Carlson) and a young woman (Jean Parker) and strike up a lasting friendship with the pair. When the elderly gentlemen later meet with a tragic ending in a blizzard, they return to earth as benevolent ghosts who act as the young couple's guardian angels, working behind the scenes to ensure that the course of true love will run smoothly. Jimmy Durante stars in the musical drama 'A Christmas Wish' (1950), which tells the story of a family of poor vaudeville performers who move house just before Christmas. In their new apartment they encounter an unlikely resident, Rupert the squirrel, who inadvertently acts as their guardian angel, giving them a Christmas to remember and changing their lives forever. Producer George Pal won an Academy Award for the groundbreaking 'Puppetoon' techniques used to animate Rupert the squirrel. Henry Edwards' 'Scrooge' (1935) is the original big-screen version of Charles Dickens' classic novel 'A Christmas Carol'. Ebenezer Scrooge (Seymour Hicks) is a miserly old money-lender who, on the seventh anniversary of his former business partner Jacob Marley's death, is visited by Marley's ghost in an attempt to make him mend his ways. Over the course of the night Scrooge is to be visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. But have the efforts of the ministering spirits come too late to save Scrooge's soul from eternal torment?. - Tillatt for alle
