Many tracks are by groups specially formed for the V-Disc programme, with several examples of vocalists with groups with whom they did not record elsewhere. Contains tracks by all the well-known and some lesser known big bands as well as many vocalists and small jazz groups. All 72 of these tracks are from dedicated V-disc sessions or American Government sponsored broadcasts, nothing is from commercial recordings. This 4CD set includes a 24 page booklet with complete discography and comprehensive notes on the V-disc programme and bands.
