Opplysninger
"An Introduction to Stata for Health Researchers, Fifth Edition, methodically covers data management, simple description and analysis, and more advanced analyses most often used in health research, including regression models, survival analysis, and measurement and diagnosis. A chapter on graphics covers most graph types and describes how to modify the appearance of a graph, for example, before submitting it for publication. Throughout the book, the authors emphasize the importance of good documentation habits to prevent errors and wasted time. To this effect, the book demonstrates the use of strategies and tools for documentation. The book comes with robust downloadable datasets that users can obtain from the book's website. This fifth edition of the book covers some of the new features in recent versions of Stata, particularly a much-improved suite of commands for power, precision, and sample- size analysis. With release 14, Stata introduced Unicode, giving the opportunity to go far beyond the Latin alphabet. The book also includes a completely revised chapter on careful documentation of data management and analysis, and a new section on the 9th and 10th releases of the International Classification of Diseases has been added. Svend Juul is a former associate professor, now part-time lecturer, in epidemiology at the Department of Public Health, Aarhus University.
