Opplysninger
This dataset illustrates how to use reflexive thematic analysis to identify key themes in narrative research. The data are provided by Associate Professor Caroline Lenette (School of Social Sciences), Dr Priya Vaughan, and Professor Katherine Boydell (Black Dog Institute) from the University of New South Wales Sydney. The dataset is a selection of five stories submitted online in response to a 'stem' or scenario relating to the COVID-19 pandemic using the story completion method. The example provides a description of how to undertake reflexive thematic analysis to identify key themes and findings and a step-by-step guide for qualitative researchers and students who wish to explore data thematically. A reflexive approach means that researchers consciously reflect on how their assumptions influence the research relationships, processes, and outcomes. This approach to analysis can be used in story completion research, in projects using other narrative inquiry methods, and in qualitative research more broadly. The dataset files are accompanied by a teaching guide and a student guide.
