| Opplysninger | Cet ouvrage aborde l’œuvre et le parcours du poète rīti Dev, en s’appuyant sur l’étude du contexte socio-historique de la première moitié du 18ème siècle et sur l’analyse du Rasavilāsa, un texte dédié à la description de la figure littéraire féminine de la nāyikā. La biographie du poète, abordée sous un nouvel angle, est étoffée par l’identification de plusieurs mécènes lui ayant offert leur soutien. Son itinérance est lue comme une conséquence du contexte de l’époque, ayant permis à Dev de faire circuler ses ouvrages dans des cercles variés. Elle exige du poète la composition de nombreux textes, ce qui le contraint à recycler une partie de son répertoire selon différents procédés qui sont examinés. Le terme d’artisan-poète souligne cet aspect pratique à prendre en considération dans la production littéraire d’un poète itinérant. En parallèle et au travers de la traduction et de l’étude de nombreux poèmes du Rasavilāsa traduits pour la première fois, l’ouvrage démontre également la façon dont Dev fait évoluer le genre du nāyikābheda par le recours à d’autres traditions littéraires, telles que le corpus des kāmaśāstras sanskrits et celui du shahrāshūb indo-persan.. - This volume looks at the rīti poet Dev’s works and career through the study of the socio-historical context of the first half of the 18th century and the analysis of the Rasavilāsa, a text dedicated to the description of the feminine literary figure of the nāyikā. The poet’s biography is examined with a new perspective and several patrons who offered their support are identified, giving a better view of Dev’s career. His status of itinerant poet is read in conjunction with the historical context and as an opportunity to make his works circulate in various circles. This compels the poet to write many texts and to recycle part of his repertoire through various processes which are examined. Assimilating the poet with a craftsman – "artisan-poète" – underlines this practical aspect to be considered for itinerant poets. At the same time and through the translation and the study of a good number of poems from the Rasavilāsa translated for the first time, the book also shows the evolution of the nāyikābheda genre and the important influence exerted by other literary traditions such as Sanskrit kāmaśāstras and Indo-Persian shāhrāshob.
