Abstract: This thesis is a case study of Det Islamske Nettverket (The Islamic Network, known as Islam Net: est. 2008 in Oslo), an Islamic youth organization which has established itself as the only Norwegian expression of puritan Salafism, an ultra-conservative Sunni-Muslim movement whose adherents claim to promote Islam as it was practiced by the al-salaf al-salih, generally understood as the first three ǩrighteousǥ generations of Muslims. Considering that Islam NetǤs proselytization, or so-called Islamic daǧwa draws on narratives and means of mobilization that largely extends the narrow borders of Salafism as it is classically defined however, the aim of this thesis is to shed light on the origins, the current manifestation and the evolution of the organizationǤs hybrid expression of mobilization and dissemination.. - Masteroppgave
